Olive Loughnane (2046) is pictured above during the closing stages of the womens
20km Walk at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. She produced an excellent performance
to finish in 7th place in a new PB time of 1.27.45. The following year she won the silver
medal at the World Championships 20k race walk in Berlin, which was later ungraded to
the Gold medal following 'winner' Olga Kaniskina's use of illegal drugs.' Olive was presented
with the gold medal in ceremony at the 2016 European Championships.
