The photo above shows Ivano crossing the line to win the 20km Walk Gold medal at the
2004 Olympics in Athens. He beat Spain's Francisco Javier Fernandez to the Gold medal
by just 5 hundredths of a second in a new PB time of 1: 19.40. It was the second 'major' Gold
medal that the Italian had won during his career, following on from his Gold
at the 1999 World Championships.
