Nineteen year old Mattia Furlani competing in the final of the men's
long jump at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where he won the bronze medal.
A few weks earlier he had won the silver medal at the European Championship
with a World under 20 record leap of 8.38 metres. On top of that in March, at
the World Indoor Championship, he and Tentoglou both tied for first place
(8.22m) with the Greek athlete taking the gold on their 2nd best jumps,
Miltiadias's 8.19m to 8.10m by Mattia.
