Kerron is pictured above during the women's 200m heats at the 2008
Olympic Games in Beijing. Stewart went on to claim the bronze medal in
the final, her time of 22 seconds flat just edging out Muna Lee by 1
hundredth of a second. It proved to be a memorable Olympics for Stewart,
who a few days earlier had won a silver medal in the 100m, details of
which can be seen below. |

The main photo above shows the closing few metres of the women's 100m
final at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Kerron (lane 7) recorded
an identical time of 10.98secs to her compatriot Sherone Simpson (far
right) and both athletes were awarded a silver medal after the judges
were unable to seperate them. Shelly-Ann Fraser (lane 4) won the gold
medal in a time of 10.78secs to complete a stunning clean sweep of the
medals for Jamaica. The inset photo shows Stewart during the heats. |
