Nesta Carter, in lane 8 on the left of the photograph, snatches third place in the
100 metres final from his fellow Jamaicans
Kemar Bailey-Cole and Nickel Ashmeade, all three of whom just beat 10 seconds.
In 2016 Carter failed an anti-doping test for the banned stimulant methylhexanamine
when traces of the drug were found in Carter’s A and B samples. This happened when
454 frozen blood and urine samples from the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing were
retested by the International Olympic Committee.
