The race action pictures above show the athletes in the home straight during the final of the womens 400m at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. Novlene (left of photo) produced a fine performance to win the bronze medal in a seasons time of 49.65 secs. It could, however, have been better for the Jamaican as she had led for much of the race but the two British athletes were to overhaul her just short of the line; Christine Ohuruogu (2nd left) winning gold and Nicola Sanders (far right) silver. The other athlete in shot is Natalya Antyukh who finished in 6th place in a time of 50.33 secs. Williams would add a silver medal to her individual bronze when anchoring the Jamaican 4x400m team to a second place finish behind the USA. The individual photos above show Novlene during the heats. .
