shortly after the finish of the womens 400m final at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Williams produced a superb performance to win the silver medal in a new PB time
of 49.69, whilst Whyte finished 7th in 50.68. The two later teamed up with
Shereefa Lloyd and Novelene Williams to win bronze for Jamaica in the 4x400m relay.
