The main photo above shows Usain celebrating after Jamaica had won
gold in the 4x100m relay at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. It
completed a memorable triple for Bolt, who had earlier struck gold in
both the 100m and 200m (see previous pages).
Remarkably all three events
were in world record times, with this 4x100m relay victory seeing the
Jamaicans smash the previous world best of 37.40 secs set by the USA
back in 1993. The inset photo shows Bolt (2nd left) on the podium with
his team mates Nesta Carter, Michael Frater and Asafa Powell as they
collect their medals.
