The pictures above show Dmitriy Karpoz during the 400m, Javelin and Shot Put disciplines of the Decathlon
at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. Karpov, the bronze medalist at both the 2003 Worlds
and the 2004 Olympics, once again won bronze, his total of 8586 points leaving him 58 back on
the silver medal winner Maurice Smith. Dmitriy set a new PB in the Pole Vault
of 5.00m (910 pts) on his way to that third place finish.
