steeplechase as she sets a new Championship record of 8:57.84. She in effect
ran a time trial with none of other women capable of challenging her . Only
Celliphine Chepteek Chespol had run under 9 minutes but she did not finish the race.
Chepkoech's World record set in 2018 was 8:44.32.
