2005 World Championships in Helsinki. He won the silver medal in a time of 8: 14.95,
behind Saif Saeed Shaheen (769), with the bronze medal going to
Kenya's Brimin Kipruto (top right, partly out of shot), who pipped Morocco's
Brahim Boulami (622) by just two hundredths of a second.
