Airine PALSYTE - Lithuania - 7th. in the high jump at 2017 World Championships.

In March 2017 Airinė Palšytė won the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade,

wirh a leap of 2.01m for both a National Record and a then World leading height.

In London she had to settle for 7th place after failing 1.95m three times.

For the medal ceremony, the  "IAAF Anthem"  was played as a substitute for a national anthem.
She did not sing the words. (Did anyone know them ?)
