The photo above shows Virgilijus during the final of the Discus at the
2004 Olympics in Athens. Alekna originally won the silver but was elevated
to the Gold medal position after Robert Fazekas was disqualified following
a failed drugs test. Alekna's throw of 69.89m also became the new
Olympic record, eclipsing Lars Riedel's throw of 69.40m at the 1996 Atlanta games.
