Meseret DEFAR - Ethiopia - 2013 Second World Championship 5000m title.

Meseret Defar, the 2012 Olympic 5,000m champion, crosses the finish line in Moscow to win the  women's 2013

World Championship  5,000m race - a title she last  held in 2007 (Osaka). Third in both Berlin (2009) and Daegu (2011)

she could have been forgiven for thinking she was not going to win this particular Championship again.  But not so.

Though it was over five years since she recorded her personal best for the distance  (14:12.88 in Stockholm) her racing

brain and competitiveness remained as strong as ever.
