The photo above illustrates perfectly the extremely close finish in
the womens 800m at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Hasna, second left in
the red vest, won the silver medal ahead of Jolanda Ceplak (3010),
despite the fact that both athletes were clocked at 1: 56.43, a new
national record by the Moroccan. Great Britain's Kelly Holmes (1809),
eyes wide in amazement, took the Gold, whilst defending champion, the
great Maria Mutola (2548), was forced out of the medals.
