Tomas WALSH - New Zealand - 2017 men's shot put World Champion.

Thomas Walsh saved the best until last in the final of the men's shot put
at the 2017 World Championships with his put of 22.03 metres, to secure
the gold medal. His third throw had by then secured the medal (21.75)
but in passing the 22 metres mark he moved into a rare select band of
men : those who have won a global title with a putt of over 22 metres.

It was no surprise because he qualified with just one put - 22.14 metres !
