Valerie Vili is pictured above during the final of the womens Shot Put at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Vili, the gold medallist at the previous years World Championships in Osaka, produced a terrific performance to strike gold once more, her effort of 20.56m leaving her 28cm clear of the silver medallist Natallia Mikhnevich.
