Karsten Warholm won the 2017 World Championships with a time of 48.35:
the photograph above shows him setting a personal best by one hundreth
of a second of 47.64 and only just winning the European title.
On this occasion he was winning the European 400 metres hurdles title, in Berlin,
not London. Again Yasmain Copello ran him very close.
