A happy Kjersti Platzer is pictured above crossing the finishing line in the
silver medal position in the womens 20km Walk at the 2008 Olympic Games
in Beijing. It was an excellent performance from the 36 year old Platzer,
with her time of 1.27.02 a new national record, and was her second
Olympic silver medal following her success eight years previously in Sydney.
