The top right photo above shows an ecstatic Tomasz
celebrating after he had produced a fantastic new personal
best of 21.51m during the final of the mens Shot Put at the
2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. That terrific put extended
his lead in the gold medal position - he had earlier recorded
21.21m - and despite Christian Cantwell's valiant last round
effort of 21.09m it was Majewski who claimed the gold medal.
It was his first medal of any sort at a major championship
and it doesn't come any better than gold at the Olympic Games!
