In a final that was a low key affair (all the jumpers had cleared 2.31 in qualifying)
Qater's Mutaz Essa Barshim was the exception winning with a leap of 2.35.
He then attempted 2.40 but failed, in trying to improve his season's best of 2.38.
He is seen above clearing a lowish height early in the competition final.
He did clear 2.40m in the Birmingham Diamond League meeting one week later.
