Darya PISHCHALNIKOVA - Russia - European discus champion & several drug disqualifications.

Darya Pishchalnikova is shown above with her silver  medal at the 2012 London Olympics.


On April, 2013 she was banned by the Russian Athletics Federation for ten years and her

results from May 2012 were annulled.  (On 20 October 2008 Pishchalnikova

was one of seven Russian athletes who received a two-year doping ban for manipulating drug samples.)


Her throw of 70.69 meters at the 2012  Russian national championships was never validated

She later had the result annulled because of her drug taking.

It was the young Russian's first medal at a major championships. The throw remained her personal best.
