Igor PAVLOV - Russia - World & European indoor pole vault Champion.

Igor is pictured above during the final of the men's Pole Vault at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. He produced an excellent performance to finish in 4th place with a new PB vault of 5.81m, only missing out on the bronze medal to Danny Ecker on the countback rule.

It was the third major global championship in a row that Pavlov had suffered the disappointment of finishing just outside the medals in 4th place, having also placed 4th at the 2004 Olympics and the 2005 Worlds.

He did however win the Gold medals at both World (2004) and European (2005) Indoor Championships.  In 2004 he won with 5.80m and in 2005, in Madrid, with a height of 5.90m.
