The photo above shows the race finish of the women's 100m final at the
2006 European Championships in Gothenburg. Irina (lane 5) won the
bronze medal in a time of 11.22 secs to capture what was her first
individual medal at a major championship. Belgium's Kim Gevaert (lane 3)
won the gold and Khabarova's compatriot Yekaterina Grigoryeva (lane 1)
the silver. Irina then rounded off her week in style by teaming up with
Yuliya Guschina, Natalya Rusakova and Grigoryeva to win gold for Russia
in the 4x100m. A pretty impressive performance for a 40 year old !
