Mikhail AKIMENKO - Russia - High jump silver at 2019 World Championships.

The main photo shows Mikhail Akimenko clearing 2.27m, first time, as he progressed

to the gold medal position by the sixth round. The two inset photos show him celebrating

those successful clearances as he battled for the title. However, when the bar was raised

to 2.37m his sequence of first time clearances came to an end. He could not get over

(three tries) whereas defending champion Barshim slipped over first time.
