The main pictures above show Svetlana clearing 4.75m in the final of the Pole Vault at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
For some time it seemed as if this vault would win her the Gold medal but her great rival, and fellow Russian,
Yelena Isinbayeva produced a clearance of 4.80m at her third and final attempt.
Feofanova then failed with attempts at 4.80m, 4.85m & 4.90m, meaning she had to settle for the silver medal.
