The photo above shows Tatyana Petrova Arkhipova crossing the line to win her first Olympic medal
- in the marathon.
Four years earlier, in Beijing, she had finished 4th. in the 3,000m steeplechase and the year before
that the silver medal in Osaka, also in the steeplechase. However, she was not a newcomer to the marathon
as her debut was actually in 2004.
