She finished in second place in the 1500m behind Jamal Maryam Yusuf (out of shot),
with fellow Russian Yelena Soboleva (106) finishing third. A week later Tomashova
represented Russia in the World Cup, once again finishing in second place behind Jamal in the 1500m.
