Shara Proctor taking her record breaking jump of 7.07 metres in the third round of
the women's long jump competition at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing.
The jump took her into the lead but Tianna Bartoletta's final leap of 7.14, the longest in
the world that year, meant Shara had to settle for the silver medal. Her jump was the first
ever, over seven metres, by a British female long jumper. She also jumped 7.01m
with her fourth jump. The record she broke was her own 6.98m set on July 25th. just weeks
earlier at the London Olympic Stadium
