A month later David qualified for the men's 1,500 metres final at the
Rio Olympic Games. As the result below indicates the Rio final was slower
than the one in Amsterdam ! Both were nothing special but David did
what he had to and was rewarded with a European Championships medal
and high placing at the Olympic Games.
