| The pictures above show Carolina during the 100m Hurdles, High Jump,
200m and Shot Put in the Heptathlon at the 2005 World Championships in
Helsinki. Kluft won the gold medal with a total of 6824 points, thus
retaining the title she had won two years previously in Paris. Going
into the final event, the 800m, Carolina held a slender 18 point lead
over Eunice Barber but, responding like the true champion she is, Kluft
recorded a new PB time of 2: 08.89, finishing just over three seconds clear of Barber to take the gold by 65 points. |
