Michel Tornéusis is pictured above during the men's long jump qualifying competition which he 'won'
with a leap of 8.19w on his third and last attempt following two no jumps !
In the actual final, the following day, it was his opening jump that was his best, though his second
best effort of 8.07m would still have won him the silver medal behind the Olympic Champion
Greg Rutherford.
