The pictures above show home favourite Stefan Holm during the final of the men's High Jump
at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg. Despite jumping a seasons best 2.34m Holm,
the Olympic champion, was forced to settle for a bronze medal behind Andrey Silnov,
who leapt a championship record 2.36m, and Tomas Janku who cleared the same height
