Thobias Nilsson Montler jumping for Sweden during the final of the men's long jump.
His second attempt of 8.17 metres - a personal best - took him into the lead but European
outdoor Champion Miltiadis Tentoglou (8.16m in the fourth round) flew on his fifth jump,
to land at 8.38m (a world best indoor at the time) to win the gold. Thobias's best outdoor
at the time was 8.10 metres !
