Following the disqualification of 100 metres champion Churandy Martina (for running out of his lane
on the bend) Ramil, now representing Turkey and not his native Azerbaijan, was awarded the silver medal
in the men's 200 metres.
On 8th. September 2015 he ran the 200 metres in 19.88 seconds, which at the time that ranked him tied for
the 34th best performer of all time and number 6 for 2015.
