Athing MU - U.S.A. - 800m bronze medal at World Championships.

Inspite running a season best, the 2020 (2021) Olympic and defending

champion, Athing Mu had to settle for third place at the 2023 Championships.

She very nearly fell during her semi-final in Budapest, as pictured above.

 

Athing Mu is the youngest woman in history to hold Olympic and World titles

in an individual track and field event. She was 19 when she won the Olympic

title in 2021.
