Brittnet Reese, who only just qualified for the final, flies through the air on her final leap in
the women's long jump, in which she was the only athlete to better seven metres.
In the qualifying she finished joint 12th with fellow American Funmi Jimoh on 6.57m, however
only twelve could go through to the final (not 13) and it had to be decided upon their second best jumps.
Funmi had two no jumps of her three attempts ! Brittney's only other jump measured 6:42, so she got the
last qualifying place. The rest is history. A trio of World Championship titles.
