| The main photo above shows Carmelita during the semi-final of the
womens 100m at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. Jeter produced an
excellent performance in the final to win a bronze medal in what proved
to be an incredibly tight finish. The inset picture shows the athletes
in the closing few metres, with Jamaica's Veronica Campbell (2nd left)
pipping Carmelita's compatriot Lauryn Williams (2nd right) to the gold
medal, despite both women clocking identical times of 11.01 secs. Jeter
(far left) was just 1 hundredth of a second behind in a new PB time of
11.02 secs. |
