Jeremy WARINER - U.S.A. - 2007 World Championships 400m Gold medals.

The main photo above shows Jeremy leading the USA home in the final of the mens 4x400m at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. The USA went on to record an impressive and somewhat inevitable victory - the chasing pack can be seen well behind in the photo above - in a world leading time for 2007 of 2.55.56. The top left picture shows the final changeover between Jeremy and Darold Williamson whilst the bottom right photo shows a happy Wariner flying the flag on a victory lap. It capped an excellent championship for Jeremy who had also claimed gold in the individual 400m (see below).

The race finish picture above shows Jeremy (centre of photo) cruising to victory in the final of the mens 400m at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, thus defending successfully the title that he had won two years previously in Helsinki. LaShawn Merritt (second right) and Angelo Taylor (far right) finished 2nd and 3rd respectively to complete an American clean sweep of the medals. Wariner then teamed up with Merritt, Taylor and Darold Williamson to win gold for the USA in the 4x400m relay (see next page for pictures and further details). It was the third global championship in a row that Wariner had struck gold in the 400m and 4x400m, having also achieved the feat at the 2004 Olympics and 2005 Worlds.
