Jeremy WARINER - U.S.A. - 2008 Olympics Games Gold & Silver medals.

Jeremy is pictured above in full flow during the men's 4x400m relay final at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Wariner, who ran the final leg, teamed up with LaShawn Merritt, Angelo Taylor and David Neville to strike gold for the USA in an Olympic record time of 2.55.39. Jeremy had earlier won a silver medal in the 400m, details of which can be seen below.

Wariner (3rd from the left), who was the clear pre-race favourite, was forced to settle for the silver medal position as his compatriot LaShawn Merritt (far right) stormed to victory in a time of 43.75. David Neville (far left) took the bronze medal to make it an American 1, 2, 3. The middle inset picture above shows Wariner congratulating Merritt after his victory had seen him succeed Jeremy as Olympic 400m champion. The left hand inset pictures show Wariner during the semi-finals.
