| The main photos above show Justin (lane 3) crossing the finishing
line to grab a sensational Gold medal in the 100m at the 2004 Olympics
in Athens. Gatlin's time of 9.85 secs was a new PB. It was something of a
surprise result as the more fancied athletes were Asafa Powell, Shawn
Crawford & Maurice Greene. Francis Obikwelu (lane 5) took the silver
& defending champion Greene (lane 7) the bronze. The inset pictures
show Justin running in the 2nd round heats of the 100m. |
