What happened?
With her fifth throw Tausage beat her personal best by
more than four
metres to reach 69.49m. That is what happened.
In 7th place her 5th throw she blew the event wide open. Olympic champion Allman
had been leading with 69.23m and had a peronal best of 71.46m. Both had a final throw
to come and both threw over 68m, but it was the woman from Hawaii who won.
