The main photo above shows the closing few metres of the womens 100m final at the 2008 Olympic
Games in Beijing. Lauryn (two from left), the 2005 World Champion, finished just outside the medals
in 4th place in a time of 11.03 secs. Shelly-Ann Fraser (lane 4) won the gold medal in a time of 10.78 secs,
with her compatriots Sherone Simpson (far right) and Kerron Stewart (far left) both winning silver medals
in 10.98 secs after the judges were unable to seperate them. The left hand photo shows Williams glancing
up to the scoreboard shortly after the 100m semi-finals.
