Marion JONES - U.S.A. - 100m title retained at the 1999 World Championships.

Marion is pictured above during the heats of the 100m at the 1999 World Championships

in Seville. She would go on to successfully defend her title in the final in a new championship

record time of 10.70 secs. Jones also won a bronze medal in the Long Jump,

her leap of 6.83m just 1cm clear of the 4th placed athlete Lyudmila Galkina.
