Tinna Bartolleta waited until her final jump (and ten years) to win her second World Championship
long jump title, this time in Beijing. Lying in third place with on last jump left, she flew through the air
and past the seven metres mark to beat Shara Proctor and Ivana Španović for first place.
The two other women, who had bothn cleared the magic seven metres for the first time,
had both set National records. But the twenty nine year old 2005 champion, then know by her maiden name
of Madison, was too good. It was her best ever jump. He won in 2005 in Helsinki with 6.89m.
She celebrated her 30th. birthday two days later.
