(far side) crossing the line in 3rd place behind Russia's Anastasiya
Kapachinskaya (lane 5) and Kelli White. However, in May 2004 White
admitted using performance enhancing substances and was banned for two
years meaning that Edwards took the silver medal. The results are
therefore amended to just seven finalists. |

GOLD MEDAL WOMEN'S 100 METRES AT 2003 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN PARIS.
Torri Edwards finished second behind Kelli White in the 100m but was promoted to the
Gold medal position when White admitted using performance enhancing substances
and was banned for two years in May 2004. The above results are therefore amended
to just seven finalists with Torri, Zhana Block & Chandra Sturrup taking the medals.
