prevailing by 3 hundredths of a second. Kim Gevaert (lane 6) anchored the Belgian team home to a bronze medal.

Fourth place in women's 100 metres at 2007 World Championships.

right) finished in 4th place in a time of 22.65 secs, just 2 hundredths
of a second behind the bronze medallist Susanthika Jayasinghe (out of
shot). Torri's compatriot Allyson Felix (centre) won the gold medal and
Jamaica's Veronica Campbell (2nd left) silver. The individual picture
above shows Edwards deep in concentration shortly before the final.
Torri fared better in the 4x100m relay, teaming up with Lauryn Williams,
Felix and Mikele Barber to win gold for the USA in a time of 41.98
