The race finish pictures above show the closing few metres of the mens 200m final at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. Wallace (left of photo), the silver medallist at the previous World Championships, was forced this time to settle for bronze, with compatriot Tyson Gay (right) winning gold and Jamaica's Usain Bolt (centre) silver. The right and left hand pictures above show Spearmon in full flow during the semi-finals. Wallace was later part of the USA 4x100m relay team that struck gold on the final day of the championships.

 The bottom inset photo above shows the closing stages of the 200m final at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki. Wallace - far right of the U.S. quartet - came through to win the silver medal in a time of 20.20 behind Justin Gatlin (far left). John Capel (2nd right) won the bronze with Tyson Gay completing an unprecedented 1, 2, 3, 4 for any one nation. The top inset picture shows Spearmon in full flow during the heats of the 200m whilst the background photo shows the young American's elaborate hairstyle!
