25 year old Yulimar Rojas jumping in Zurich at the famous Weltkasse Diamond
League meeting, where the new world record holder and Olympic champion
won with a leap of 15.48m, a new meeting record. At the Tokyo games she had
set a new world record on her sixth jump in the final of 15.76m
(15.41m on her first attempt) to beat Inessa Kravets' 1995 World record of 15.50m.
Thus Yulimar added the Olympic Gold to her two World Championship
gold medals of 2019 and 2017.
