The picture above shows David raising his bat to the crowd after
reaching his century in the 3rd Test against England at Trent Bridge,
Nottingham in July 1993. Boon enjoyed a superb series with the bat,
racking up 542 runs at an average of 90.33. Included in that total were
centuries in three successive Tests, the innings at Trent Bridge being
sandwiched by his 164 not out at Lord's and 107 at Headingley. The
figures above show only David's latter day performances against England -
his earlier statistics can be seen on the previous page. In total the
Tasmanian scored 2237 runs in 31 Tests against England at an average of
45.65, slightly better than his overall average of 43.65.
